BODY: “ICEX
Intelligence…” recounts Crowell’s personal experiences while serving within
the Phoenix Program in Vietnam. The
author spent six years in the US Army with the Army Intelligence Corps. He served stateside as an Intelligence
Special Agent and in Vietnam within the CIA program named Phoenix. The
program was classified until 1982.
Now it can be given to the American people. “ICEX Intelligence – Vietnam’s Phoenix Program” is the first
book known to be authored by an actual member serving within the program. William
Colby, of the CIA, created the program, which started within Army
Intelligence as ICEX (Intelligence Coordination and Exploitation). Many public documents indicate this
program is being used as a structure within the Homeland Security Department
at present. This
new book allows the individual citizen to view astonishing information about
a special government program used against the Viet Cong during the Vietnam
War. You will follow Crowell, and his
fellow program combatants, through a period during the famous Tet Offensive
of 1968. G.
LaVerne Crowell, an Arizona resident, writes books, short stories, articles
for various magazines and a monthly column for ‘American RV Magazine’ in the
UK. Crowell has several new books “in
process” at this time. Mr.
Crowell is currently setting up Book Signings, Interviews and traveling
extensively around the country. He
